Pay: $17 - $19 per hour
The Learning Experience Dedham is seeking a reliable and organized Preschool Cook to support our early childhood centers daily meal program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a childcare daycare or school kitchen environment and is committed to providing healthy safe meals to young children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts lunches and snacks according to center menus and dietary guidelines.
- Follow proper food safety sanitation and storage procedures at all times.
- Manage allergy lists and communicate dietary needs clearly with teachers.
- Maintain a clean organized kitchen that meets state and local health regulations.
- Track inventory assist with ordering supplies and help manage kitchen records.
- Support classroom staff during mealtimes if needed and be a positive presence throughout the center.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience as a cook kitchen aide food prep assistant school cook or daycare cook preferred.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and work on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to childrens health and safety.
- Must meet all Massachusetts EEC and health department requirements.
