Purpose Statement

This position will support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Perform shipping and receiving duties
  • Responsible for inbound/outbound deliveries.
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor
  • Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
  • Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
  • May maintain department database prepare routine reports and file shipping/receiving records.
  • Applies all GMPs and safety requirements both personalhygiene and housekeeping associated with these tasks.
  • Identifies problems at his/her assigned work tasks on an on-going basis and determines if solution is within his/her training and knowledge; if so corrects problem; if not or if not sure communicatesto appropriate person for solution.
  • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with Warehouse Group Leaders and other managers team members and other co-workers. Resolves problems and conflicts in an acceptable manner that shows respect for the otherperson(s).
  • Follows plant rules and policies and Company code ofethics in performing job.
  • Ensuring the efficient return of unused rawmaterials to inventory
  • Works closely with agencies and drivers
  • Reserving freezer space for the daily plantproduction in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with presetguidelines; printing out the production register and distributing asnecessary having knowledge of warehouse dumps procedure and handling thosenot requiring team leader approval reserving product for outbound shipments double-checking for errors or problems
  • Performing other functions of the WarehouseManagement System as necessary and according to preset guidelines.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • HS/GEDrequired. College degree preferred; and three to five years experience;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Abilityto follow defined policies processes and procedures
  • Musthave excellent computer skills and experience in extracting and analyzingdata usinginformation systemsreporting tools such as Excel.
  • Efficientwith all Microsoft Office using QAD SAP and Outlook a plus.
  • Musthave good interpersonal analytical leadership and problem solving skills
  • Musthave good written and verbal skills
  • Hands-onvery willing to roll the sleeves up and get involved to get the jobdone.
