This position serves as the primary contact for prospective students and their families high school counselors and community college staff. Responsible for follow up with inquiries and applicants by performing preliminary evaluations of transfer credit for incoming transfer students. Represent the university at recruitment events.
Responsibilities:
Counsels prospective students on all aspects of the admissions and transfer process.
Coordinates and implement the recruitment plan including scheduling and reporting on recruitment visits/events.
Plans and executes recruitment event programming both on and off-campus.
Assists and encourages prospective students through the application process.
Performs preliminary degree evaluations of transfer credit for incoming transfer students.
Utilizes Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to communicate and enter all prospective student information.
Counsels prospective students on the phone e-mail and in person.
Follows directives regarding strategic planning and recruitment strategies.
Represent the university at high school visits community college visits military installations transfer fairs college fairs and other college recruitment events.
Works collaboratively with on-campus partners in order to further the mission of the Office of Admissions.
This includes collaborating with academic departments to promote academic programs by coordinating program specific recruitment events financial assistance/admission application workshops and military student recruitment programming to increase new student enrollment.
Assists the Director develop and implement effective communication processes with prospective students applicants and parents.
Follows established communication process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in applicable field or higher in related field.
One (1) year of related experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
Knowledge of functions of higher education.
Knowledge of recruitment and marketing.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Ability to use technology to track and process students through Graduate School Admissions processes.
Ability to collect write and report various types of data sets.
