Job Summary

Job Title: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Registered Nurse (M/S Tele Float RN)
Location: 115 Cass Avenue Woonsocket RI 02895
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (specific shift per facility needs)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
For night shift: Friday and Saturday nights count as the weekend
EMR: EPIC (Required)

Position Summary

The Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care across Med/Surg Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. This role requires strong cardiac experience flexibility to float between units and the ability to manage complex cardiac and telemetry patients including those undergoing or recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe evidence-based nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry and PCU patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
Care for cardiac patients including pre- and post-cardiac catheterization cases
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document accurately in EPIC
Administer medications IV therapies and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families regarding conditions treatments and discharge planning
Float to assigned units based on census and staffing needs
Maintain compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and patient safety protocols

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Rhode Island is a compact state (compact license accepted)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac experience
- Must have experience with cardiac caths and cardiac patients on PCU
ACLS required
- Must show prior use of ACLS in previous positions (obtaining ACLS for compliance only is not acceptable)
BLS required (current)
EPIC experience required
Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
