We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in our Wrexham factory!

As a Senior Quality Engineer you will have a broad range of responsibilities in order to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards customer expectations and relevant regulatory requirement. The role involves monitoring testing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost of poor quality. This role calls for a strong blend of practical handson ability and exceptional soft skills including teamwork communication leadership and coordination.

What Youll Do:

  • Developing and maintaining quality control plans and procedures for different product families according to existing standards and specific customer requirements.

  • Ensuring the correct application of work instructions and quality control plans together with applicable QMS procedures.

  • Managing customer quality claims including intercompany issues.

  • Managing internal quality non-conformities applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and identify areas of improvement.

  • Monitoring supplier quality performance and managing supplier quality issues.

  • Driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D A3 FMEA involving cross-functional teams when required.

  • Facilitating external (e.g. ISO BASEC) and customer audits. Supporting internal and supplier audits.

  • Monitoring quality KPIs such as COPQ number of customer claims.

  • Analysing quality data in order to identify data driven improvement opportunities.

  • Maintaining and updating quality management system documentation in coordination with the UK Quality Systems Manager.

  • Managing a plant quality team.

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • Proven experience within Quality with a handson cando attitude and strong problemsolving skills.

  • Experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering environment.

  • Proficient in quality standards test methodologies and statistical analysis tools.

  • Resultsdriven able to multitask and skilled at prioritising effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across crossfunctional teams and all organisational levels.

  • Background in Quality Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a manufacturing quality role.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage.
