Job Summary
Twin Oaks Industries is currently in search of a metal fabrication estimator to join our team. Your central goal will be to prepare accurate quotes for projects by gathering information analyzing important metrics and conducting calls to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the metal fabrication estimation process but for the right individual this may not be required. Applicant should be fluent in mathematics and accounting with in-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation addition to being an excellent communicator candidates should also be detail orientated with outstanding organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and act on new RFQs from customers.
- Collect different quotes from subcontractors vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze data monitor budgets and prices using software and excel spreadsheets.
- Review and evaluate cost estimates.
- Identify labor material costs and time requirements by researching proposals drawings and related documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimate reports.
- Help oversee the different stages of new product development to ensure that expenses follow the forecasted plan.
- Present complex and detailed reports to management.
- Other job duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or 4 years relative experience as a metal fabrication estimator or similar role recommended but not required.
- Exceptional mathematics skills.
- Proficient in relevant software including MS Office Suite.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
