Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights
Shift: 7pm-7am
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) Holidays Required
On-Call: 2 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule
Location: New York
License Required: NYS RN License (Active)
Position Summary
Registered Nurse for night shift cross-trained and comfortable floating to ICU ER Med/Surg and MST units. Must possess strong critical care skills and provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
Required Qualifications
Active New York State RN License
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg Telemetry ICU or Critical Care
Critical Care experience required
Comfortable floating to ICU ER Med/Surg MST
Required Certifications (AHA or RQI only)
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Basic Coronary Care (within 6 months of hire)
CPI Certification (within 90 days of hire)
Preferred Certifications
Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Certification (within 2 years)
TNCC (within 2 years)
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Maintains patient confidentiality and professionalism
Team-oriented with effective role-modeling behaviors
Computer literate; EMR experience preferred
Microsoft Office experience preferred
