What impact youll makeSenior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading/ executing projects focused on industrializing new products execution of transfers of work and development of processes from concept to non-conformance free. This role will support Gas Turbine Steam Turbine and Generator.
Job Description
What youll do
- Manage/ Lead global NPIs and ToW projects products and technology to secure Safety Quality Delivery and Cost
- Own component introduction/ implementation/ qualification from design and manufacturability through stable production (industrialization)
- Serve as an NPI Project Manager in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering manufacturing sourcing product management etc
- Improve and standardize the way of working within the team through the application of Lean methodology
- Ensure the proper team is engaged in the Iterations from concept through final design with cross functional teams to ensure balance of producibility and cost
- Be responsible for on time and on budget delivery of NPIs and strategic projects for both new units and services
- Serve as a technical process owner for complex problems across a diverse supply chain partnering with stakeholders to solve business critical issues
- Manage and communicate design change risks and impacts prior to implementation
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
- Major engineering/manufacturing/sourcing experience
What will make you stand out
- Welding Engineering Degree or experience with welding and the machining of fabricated Components.
- Strong Sourcing knowledge and prior experience with Supplier Development and/or transfer of work projects.
- Knowledge of Gas Turbine Steam Turbine and Generator Components.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team to deliver programs / projects
- Ability to present ideas effectively and concisely both written and verbal to team members senior management and customers
- Proven ability to work horizontally across GE and build / maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Cross functional experience able to motivate team effectively facilitate collaboration and influence a solutions-oriented culture
- Demonstrated ability to take vague problem identify action plan and partner with stakeholders to achieve goals
- Strong project management/ organizational skills and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft products
