Overview:
The In-Game Hosts are integral members of theToronto Blue JaysGame Entertainment team responsible for driving excitement and elevating the fan experience at every home game. For this position ofHype Host the ideal candidate is an energetic and dynamic professional who can deliver pre-scripted and ad-libbed work in a fresh and engaging manner. Candidates must have a passion for interacting with fans of all ages and a strong understanding and enthusiasm for theToronto Blue Jaysand baseball.
Responsibilities:
- Perform asHype Host alongsidePromotional HostatBlue Jayshome games
- Attend pregame Production meetings with the Game Entertainment team
- Work independently to review scripts and develop creative engaging ways to bring energy and personality into each hit
- Collaborate with J FORCE and Mascots asrequiredfor in-game hits
- Host pregame programming for Jr. Jays Sundays andadditionalTheme Days outlined in the Promotions and Events schedule
- Engage large crowds with confidence entertaining and energizing fans of all ages
- Thrive in a fast-paced live environment adapting quickly and ad-libbing whennecessaryas a dynamic extension of the entertainment on the field
- Stay current onToronto Blue JaysandMajor League Baseballnews andmaintaina thorough understanding of the game
Qualifications:
- Availability for preseason training from February through Opening Day in March as well as all 81 home games of the 2026 season
- Post-secondary education in Marketing Journalism and/or Radio & Television Arts or a related field preferred
- Experience in promotionsbroadcastor social media hosting
- Previousexperience hosting live events
- Exceptional verbal communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong on-camera and microphone presence with a passion for engaging fans of all ages
- Extensive knowledge of theToronto Blue Jays baseball fundamentals currentplayersand Alumni
