About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults with their daily living needs. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality person-centred care promote independence and maintain dignity at all times.
This role may include working in residential care supported living nursing homes or community settings depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing dressing toileting grooming)
- Support mobility including use of hoists and mobility aids
- Assist with meals and hydration
- Observe record and report any changes in service users health or behaviour.
- Support residents with social activities and emotional wellbeing
- Follow personalised care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate care documentation
- Work collaboratively with care teams nurses and family members
- Uphold infection control and health & safety standards
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Good communication and written English skills
- Caring patient and trustworthy attitude
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
- Flexibility to work shifts if required (days/nights/weekends)
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous experience as HCA Support Worker Care Assistant
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Moving & Handling Medication or First Aid training
