Position: Facilities Associate
(Afternoon-Evening Shift)
Reports to: Facilities and Safety Manager
Position Status: Part-Time 30 Hours
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 12:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. (Additional early/late and/or weekend hours may be required for events facility rentals or other facility department needs.)

Position Summary
Foothill Country Day School is currently seeking a Facilities Associate who will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness organization and overall appearance of facilities and grounds. The Facilities Associate performs routine handyman work cleaning disinfecting maintenance functions and is able to work both independently and collaboratively with the Facilities team to ensure all facilities and grounds needs are met. The Facilities Associate demonstrates attention to detail thoroughness and care in performing all duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Trash and recycling removal
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Sweep mop vacuum and deep clean flooring
- Clean entrance doors frames light fixtures vents and windows/blinds
- Wipe away smudges/fingerprints on walls countertops etc.
- Remove dust and clean all furniture and fixtures
- Clean and disinfect kitchen floor mats
- Disinfect light switches doorknobs keypads handles faucets drinking fountains railings and any other high touch surface
- Remove dust from frames trophy cases shelves baseboards and corners
- Clean all students and faculty/staff chairs
- Clean and organize custodial closet
- Handyman tasks on as needed basis
- Assist Facilities Associates with anything that involves a team effort
- Set up and break down tables and chairs for meetings and special functions
- Close and lock the campus by ensuring windows doors and gates are locked lights are turned off heating and air conditioning is off and alarms are set
- Daily duties are subject to change based on school events and Facilities Team attendance
The ideal candidate will have the following educational and work background:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years previous experience with cleaning custodial or facilities and grounds work
- Handyman skills including but not limited to painting mounting and installation of small appliances/fixtures minor plumbing and basic appliance repair required

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position requires continuous physical activity. While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to stand and bend over with ease kneel squat lift pull and push up to 50 pounds and carry objects. Physical work is a primary part (more than 90%) of the position.

- Valid California Driver License with acceptable driving record required
