Job Description
A Mechanical Craftsperson is an individual who performs troubleshooting inspectioninstallationand repair of variety of primary mechanical equipment and systems across the site.
Mechanical Craftspersons will work on shift and days within the Operational Engineering department. The role entails operation and maintenance ofa number ofutility systems and production equipment on site suchas;
Break down maintenance.
Planned / preventative / predictive maintenance.
Utilities maintenance.
Clinical and Commercial manufacturing modules maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Performing preventive maintenance tasks such as inspecting replacing components on schedule.
Responding to breakdowns of equipmentdiagnosingand repairing while ensuring any changes are documented under change control.
Overhaulingcleaningand/or replacement of defective parts.
Removingand/or installingmajor pieces of process and/or utility equipment.
Providingengineering support to production.
Operationmonitoringand maintainingvarious utility systems and building management systems.
Developingand/or deliveringtraining to craftsperson and apprentices.
Participatingin multi-functional and inter-site teams as.
In the role of craftsperson there area variety of other ad hoc responsibilities thatmay beassigned.
Understandingthat all tasks require a work order and depending on complexity of taska permitmay also be.Completion ofworkis documentedunder work order notificationswithappropriate detailonce the work is complete.
Understandingthat if during maintenance something outside of standard should be reportedfor further investigation.

Perform duties in a compliant manner and behavein accordance withsite SOPs Quality Systems EHS standards and guidelines and relevant legal requirements.e.g.Safe Systems of Work Permit to Work.
Report all accidents incidents and any EHS issues using theappropriate processin a timely manner. Engage with safety investigations astoidentifyroot causes andappropriate correctiveactions.
Knowledge / Education / Experience Required
Minimum Level of Education - A time-served craftsperson who has completed a state-recognisedapprenticeship
Job related experience including a current working knowledge of:
Site and industry standardsregardingGood Engineering Practice
Engineering Operations policiessystemsand procedures
The organisational structure of other departments and their maintenance needs.
The location and maintenance needs of most major plant items and utility systems
Other skills - at least twoyears experienceofmaintainingprimary equipment and systems.
