Role Overview
Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a manufacturing company seeking a HAAS CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating HAAS equipment. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for machinists with 35 years of CNC experience who are looking to advance their skills take on increased responsibility and grow within a stable precision-focused environment.
In this role you will set up operate and inspect CNC-machined parts while supporting production efficiency and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate HAAS CNC machines including mills and/or lathes
- Load programs perform tool offsets and make basic program edits as needed
- Produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect finished parts using calipers micrometers gauges and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot routine machining and tooling issues
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Follow safety quality and shop procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts across machining and production processes
Required:
- 35 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of machining processes materials and tolerances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with HAAS CNC machines
- Familiarity with Mastercam or similar CAM software
- Basic CNC programming or G-code editing experience
- Experience producing tight-tolerance or precision components
- CNC machine setup and operation (HAAS preferred)
- Basic CNC programming and G-code comprehension
- Precision measurement and inspection
- Tooling selection and offset adjustments
- Understanding of machining materials and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Problem-solving mindset with a desire to learn and improve
