This role offers the opportunity to deliver flexible trauma-informed and person-centred clinical care within a multidisciplinary substance misuse service. As our services continue to evolve the postholder will support future developments including community-based clinics improving access to treatment and care for people across Croydon.
For the right candidate we are happy to offer a starting salary towards the mid to upper end of the scale with an anticipated starting salary of 51101.96 up to a maximum of 53329.99 dependent on skills and experience.
Our Croydon service is built on the strength of a diverse multidisciplinary team including Specialist Doctors Nurses Recovery Practitioners Peer Mentors and Volunteers all working together to deliver outstanding compassionate care. This role gives you the opportunity to be part of that journey and make a tangible difference every day.
Working under the guidance of the Service Medical Lead you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality recovery-focused drug and alcohol treatment services.
You will:
Assess diagnose plan implement and evaluate clinical interventions
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop tailored care plans
Identify and assess suitability for inpatient alcohol and opioid detoxification
Review manage and adapt treatment plans proactively
Initiate and adjust prescriptions for opioid and alcohol substitute treatments and related medications
Lead the development of the prescribing clinic
Act as a clinical point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters
Hours: Full time 37.5 per week
*Allowances: 2195.72 Outer London Weighting

You will have:
Either:
GPhC-registered Pharmacist with at least two years post-qualification experience or
First-level registered Nurse with a current PIN and three years post-qualification experience
A recognised Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
At least one years recent experience in substance misuse treatment
Strong knowledge of clinical prescribing within drug and alcohol services
A person-centred compassionate and trauma-informed approach
