Education required: Undergraduate studying a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university preferably in Chemical Engineering

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: July to December 2026

This role sits in our Jurong R&D Pilot Plant.

What will you do

• Technical application of fundamental engineering skills in the design of process equipment

• Scoping equipment specifications and working with vendors to obtain best in class design for value

• Going to site observing plant operations and implementing engineering modifications to plant

• Commissioning of equipment with engineers and plant technicians

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and safety

What will you learn

• Understanding of equipment capability. You will learn to differentiate various equipment/instruments understand their specifications and how they are used for processes via the assigned projects

• Understanding of Management of Change process via the Plant Modification Proposal. You will be involved in designing executing and commissioning of modifications in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment

• Process scales up understanding. Participation in batch record review & plant processing to gain hands on understanding of safety/quality aspect of introducing a process into a plant

What are we looking for

• Strong written and oral communications skills

• Excellent English proficiency

• A keen interest in production

• Interest with going to manufacturing site observing plant operations and implement engineering modifications to plant

• Meticulous organized and dedicated

• Apply his/her knowledge of engineering data/computer sciences and analytics and learn soft skills in engaging different stake holders to deliver a project
