Exciting opportunities has arisen as experienced Naval Architect/Ship Designer in our world class Ship Design team. Kongsberg Ship Design has a proud history of more than 50 years/1000 vessels delivering ship designs for a wide portfolio of vessels. The role will require close cooperation and interaction with our customers and sales force and cover R&D tasks development of tender documentation and follow-up work during construction phase.

Key accountabilities

• Develop our vessels portfolio within the UT-Design range with main focus on Offshore Energy vessels and/or other specialized vessels like Naval/Coastguard.
• Develop General Arrangement vessel specifications and supporting documentation
• Coordinate supporting teams
• Be a driving force in the decarbonization of our vessel range
• Sales support and customer activities
• Communication with building yards Flag Authorities and classification societies

Qualifications and experience

• Master or Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture.
• Relevant experience from Yard classification companies or consultancy (>3-5 years).

• use a methodical and systematic approach plan ahead define clear priorities and allocate resources effectively
