This is an internal/external posting. First preference will be given to qualified permanent L.K.D.S.B. secondary teachers.

The following Permanent vacancy is available effective February 2 2026:

C.K.S.S. - 1.0 - General Studies (Math/Business)

Qualifications/Experience:

Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification in the respective Division and subject area;
experience in stated assignment is preferred;
Special Education qualifications are required for ABLE/Resource/Intensive Services positions;
Special Education qualifications are preferred for positions at A.M.S.S.;
French qualifications and fluency in French Immersion is required for French Immersion positions;
Guidance Part 1 is required for Guidance positions;
Co-Op Part 1 is required for Co-Op positions;
Special Education Part 1 is required for Student Success positions;
Special Education Part 1 is required for ALLP positions;
experience with committee work including LiteracyMDT team and safe schools is an asset for Student Success positions;
knowledge of current curriculum directions;
excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with students parents and staff;
positive interaction as part of the school team;
consistent and fair classroom management;
working with youth in a variety of settings;
working with indigenous young people is an asset;
electronic report card experience is an asset;
computer skills are an asset.
