Contract Length: 10 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time 40 Hours/Week 5 Days/Week
Shift Options:

• 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• 10:00 AM 6:30 PM
  (or as operationally required)
  Float Requirement: Nuclear Medicine & PET/CT

Weekly Pay:

• Local: $2800

• Traveler: $3200

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services in a high-volume hospital environment. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring excellence in patient care radiation safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment

• Prepare administer and document radiopharmaceuticals

• Perform radionuclide imaging and functional studies

• Assist physicians with therapeutic radioisotope procedures following safety protocols

• Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use

• Review and validate images using PACS for diagnostic quality and accuracy

• Ensure radiation safety for patients staff and the environment

• Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides

• Receive store handle and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per NRC and state regulations

• Maintain accurate radioactive material usage and disposal records

• Ensure contamination-free and compliant workspaces

• Rotate assignments as needed including Cardiology and PET/CT

• Perform clerical and documentation tasks using EPIC Teletracking Nuclear Medicine Information Systems and scheduling tools

• Greet and assist patients using AIDET communication standards

• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to age culture language and special needs

• Work assigned shifts including weekends holidays overtime and on-call as required

• Adhere to organizational policies competencies attendance and punctuality standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital setting

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience

• CT fusion license

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Valid NJDEP License

• ARRT or NMTCB Certification

• BLS (American Heart Association)
