Job Summary

Flagger Responsibilities:

  • Using hand signals paddle and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites.
  • Communicate with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way radio traffic onto a single lane.
  • Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
  • Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites.
  • Setting up advanced warning signs barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off work zones.
  • Assist in removing all signs barricades and traffic cones upon completion of construction work.
  • Assisting the construction crew in the removal of debris and hazardous materials.
  • Attend regularly scheduled safety team meeting prior to work.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

  • Driving required role must have a valid WA drivers license.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 40-70 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
  • Experience driving. Must pass pre-employment screenings including background check drug test and MVR as this is a safety sensitive role.
  • Must have Washington State flagger certification or be able to obtain one.
