About Technology & Process Electro and Hydro Mechanical

The Electro technical unit (TTTE) supports operations and projects within hydropower wind and solar power plants in Statkraft. TTTE also provides global technical governance for main components common for all the technologies mentioned.

Youll be part of a team that combines expertise experience and innovation to drive the development of renewable energy.

Examples of Tasks You Might Work On

Depending on the needs of the department and your interests you may work on:

  • Mapping of Statkrafts dry type exciter and station power transformers aiming to identify interchangeable (mutual spare) units
  • Identify requirements potentially forming the basis for new technical requirements
  • Literature studies related to technical issues associated with dry type exciter and station power transformers
  • Build electromagnetic transient model of the exciter circuits for synchronous generators in the Power Factory simulation tool

Tasks will be tailored to ensure you work on areas that excite and engage you the most!


Qualifications :

Who Are We Looking For

We are looking for students who:

  • Are passionate about renewable energy and sustainable solutions
  • Have strong analytical skills and a structured detail-oriented approach to work
  • Are motivated proactive and enjoy working in teams
  • Are studying high voltage systems power electronics or electric machines
  • Are currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree

Additional Information :

  • Application deadline: 20.01.2026
  • Duration: Mid-June to mid-August 2026 the program also includes two weeks of vacation
  • Location: Statkraft HQ Lilleakerveien 6A 0283 Oslo
  • Final Presentation: The program concludes with interns presenting their work to management and colleagues (in English)
