Bilingual Academic Support Position (English/Spanish)
The Stony Brook School a distinguished independent faith-based boarding school is seeking a dynamic and dedicated part-time Bilingual Academic Support Specialist to join Gravitas the global extension of our this role the candidate will provide individualized and small-group academic support to Gravitas students including native Spanish speakers accessing an English-language academic program.
This position is integral to ensuring the academic success and holistic formation of Gravitas students by offering high-quality academic coaching writing support and study skills development in a bilingual context.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide cross-disciplinary bilingual (English/Spanish) academic support to Gravitas students ensuring success across core academic subjects
- Offer individual and small-group academic coaching focused on organization time management study skills and academic writing
- Conduct scheduled academic support office hours and contribute to the Gravitas writing support program
- Schedule and lead one-on-one academic support sessions as needed
- Support English Language Learners by clarifying academic expectations assignments and feedback in both English and Spanish
- Assist the Assistant Director with student onboarding orientation and ongoing academic support structures
- Collaborate with Gravitas faculty and staff to support students receiving academic accommodations or targeted academic support
- Maintain clear documentation and communication related to student support and progress
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in education or a related field preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in academic tutoring academic coaching or student support services
- Fluent in both English and Spanish written and verbal
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs including familiarity with learning strategies and academic accommodations
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity in working with a global student population

Salary Range: Stipend of $12600-$13680 commensurate with experience
