Schedule & Shift Details
Shift Type: Night Shift
Schedule Pattern: 7 on / 7 off (overnight rotation)
Shift Rotation Details:
Week A: Wednesday night through Saturday morning
9:00 PM 7:00 AM (4 shifts / 40 hours total)
Week B: Sunday night through Tuesday morning
7:00 PM 7:00 AM (3 shifts / 36 hours total)
Shift Length:
12-hour shifts during 3-shift weeks
10-hour shifts during 4-shift weeks
Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures during overnight hours. This role supports emergency and inpatient diagnostic services ensuring accurate imaging patient safety and adherence to established protocols in a hospital-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
Ensure patient safety proper positioning and radiation protection at all times
Accurately operate CT imaging equipment and associated computer systems
Administer contrast media in accordance with policy and certification requirements
Review images for quality and completeness prior to submission
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system
Respond effectively to urgent and emergent imaging needs during overnight shifts
Collaborate with radiologists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
Adhere to infection control safety and quality assurance standards
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT certification in Radiography (CT certification preferred or required per facility policy)
Active and unrestricted state license (as applicable)
Minimum 12 years of recent CT experience preferred
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Strong communication organizational and patient-care skills
Work Environment
Hospital-based radiology department
Fast-paced overnight setting supporting emergency and inpatient services
