DescriptionEmerson is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Embedded Engineer to lead the design development and optimization of embedded systems for our next-generation products. This role requires deep technical expertise in embedded hardware and firmware a passion for innovation and the ability to work cross-functionally with software mechanical and systems engineering teams.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design and develop embedded hardware systems including schematic capture PCB layout and component selection.
- Develop test and debug embedded firmware in C/C or assembly for microcontrollers SoCs and FPGAs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Conduct design reviews risk assessments and validation testing (EMC thermal functional).
- Optimize power consumption performance and reliability of embedded systems.
- Lead prototyping bring-up and debugging of new hardware platforms.
Interface with vendors and manufacturing partners to support production and DFM/ an active member in the Emerson Technical community

- Strong experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M/R/A) SoCs FPGA and communication protocols (SPI I2C UART CAN USB Ethernet)
- Product Lifecycle management experience
- Microsoft Azure DevOps experience
- Experience leading control system migration projects
- Ability to multi task and set simultaneous priorities
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering Concepts Project Management Risk Planning Six Sigma and Quality is highly desirable
