Job Summary

Jesuit Dallas Biology Teacher

Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to teach high school Biologyin a Catholic all-male setting. This teacher will be expected to:

Form and educate young men to be open to growth intellectually competent loving religious committed to working for justice and physically fit.
Teach five sections of Biology or other Life Sciences courses such as Anatomy and Physiology.
Serve as a contributing member of the Science Department.
Work collaboratively with course level teams on lesson planning assessment design and grading.
Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
Participate in student-centered co-curricular extra-curricular service and/or retreat opportunities.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Biologyor a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
Experience teaching in a Standards Aligned Curriculum preferred.
Ability to coach high school athletics preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges deadlines and a diverse array of contacts;
Instructs students who are learning both in person and online;
May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time;
Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
