Position SummaryThe High School Girls Soccer Coach is responsible for leading a competitive educationally-based athletic program that supports the academic social and athletic development of student-athletes. The coach will promote sportsmanship teamwork skill development and a positive school culture while adhering to all school district league and MIAA Duties & ResponsibilitiesProgram LeadershipPlan organize and lead all practices games and team and implement age-appropriate training plans focused on technical skills tactical understanding physical conditioning and mental and maintain a positive inclusive and disciplined team DevelopmentTeach and reinforce fundamental and advanced soccer constructive feedback to help student-athletes improve individually and multi-sport participation and long-term athlete ManagementMake in-game tactical decisions aligned with team philosophy and player substitutions fairly and professionalism and composure toward officials opponents and & CollaborationCommunicate effectively with student-athletes parents/guardians school administrators and athletic collaboratively with the Athletic Director and other coaches within the feeder programs (youth middle school JV/Varsity alignment where applicable).Student-Athlete WelfarePrioritize the safety and well-being of all injuries and follow all concussion and return-to-play as a positive role model and mentor for ResponsibilitiesEnforce school and team rules attendance eligibility and equipment required trainings (e.g. CPR/AED First Aid concussion education MIAA rules).Attend required meetings clinics and professional development of soccer rules strategies and skill to work effectively with high school-aged communication leadership and organizational of all school district MIAA and state coaching coaching experience at the high school or club experience at the high school collegiate or competitive club based on district contract and coaching position.
