Location

On-site full-time in the field across Chicagoland (youll start your day at the jobsite and work closely with the project team).

Note: This role is a fit for either:

A recent U.S. bachelors grad in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or
Someone with 1 year of heavy civil/heavy highway construction experience

Job Description

Support heavy highway projects as a Field Engineer (bridges/roadways/IDOT-style work)
Work daily with Project Managers Superintendents Foremen and crews
Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper certifications per contract requirements
Maintain daily field documentation (reports schedules photos tracking)
Monitor subcontractor progress and support schedule execution
Help manage and balance concrete deliveries and pours
Assist with closeout tasks quantities and job cost reporting
Work outdoors year-round; occasional second shift during phase changes

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a U.S. university
05 years of experience (field/engineering internships/co-ops count for entry level)
Exposure to heavy highway / heavy civil construction is strongly preferred
OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
Comfortable working on active jobsites and collaborating with field crews
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam familiarity is a plus
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally to job sites
