Job Summary

FLSA: NON-EXEMPT

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have eight (8) years experience as a plumber

Must have State of Louisiana Plumbers Contractor license dedicated to this board to perform plumbing and gas-fitting work in all areas of Rapides Parish; a gas license is encouraged.
Must be familiar with all types of industrial/commercial plumbing
Must possess excellent health to permit strenuous work

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Facilities

SUPERVISES: Helpers

JOB GOAL: To assist the Supervisor of Facilities in providing facilities that
are properly maintained and conducive to a learning environment

TERM: Twelve (12) months

SALARY: Maintenance Department Salary Schedule MD-118

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Act as lead plumber and perform plumbing work as directed or required by work order
2. Be diligent in performing work in safe manner
3. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
4. Maintain written records as required and directed
5. Be responsible and use good judgment in the purchase of job materials
6. Operate any vehicles in a safe manner and follow policies as directed
7. Perform work in a professional and timely manner
8. Follow Rapides Parish School Board policies
9. Sign in and out at each school and cooperate with all building personnel
10. Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Facilities
