Job Summary
The Headteacher of this highly prestigious and academically selective Girls Grammar School in Hertfordshire is seeking to appoint an exceptional Science Teacher to join a well-established high-performing Science department from January. Science is a flagship subject within the school with consistently outstanding outcomes at GCSE and A-Level and a strong culture of intellectual curiosity academic challenge and scholarly excellence.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Science Teacher who thrives in a selective academic environment and enjoys teaching highly motivated articulate students who take pride in their learning. The department is collaborative intellectually rigorous and well resourced offering teachers the opportunity to teach Science with depth pace and ambition.
The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4 with A-Level teaching available for those with the appropriate experience and subject specialism. Biology Chemistry and Physics specialists are all encouraged to apply. Lessons are characterised by high-level questioning structured practical work and a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding.
