Position: CT Technologist

Shift: FT/Evenings (Thursday Friday Sunday 12:30 PM 1:00 AM)
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist under the general supervision of a Radiologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
Essential Functions:

Perform high-quality CT procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.

Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET explaining procedures and assessing patient tolerance.

Prepare patients and procedure area position patients and adjust equipment settings.

Adhere to safety requirements infection-control drug and radiation protocols.

Maintain equipment and work area; collaborate with engineers and physicists for optimal functionality.

Ensure proper documentation including requisitions patient history consent forms and shielding precautions.

Maintain medical imaging records according to department standards.

Serve as a preceptor and provide training to new team members.

Demonstrate knowledge and care for patients across all age groups (newborn to geriatric).

Administer first aid and respond to emergencies as required.
