Job Summary

Job Title: Workday Extend Developer
Location: Plano TX or McLean VA (Hybrid: Onsite Tues Thurs Remote Mon & Fri)

Capital One is seeking a Workday Extend Developer to join our HR Technology this role you will design build and enhance custom functionality within the Workday platform with a particular focus on Workday Extend Workday Integrations and Compensation. Youll collaborate closely with HR partners product owners and engineers in an Agile environment to deliver scalable innovative solutions that enhance the associate experience and streamline HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and implement custom applications using Workday Extend with an emphasis on Compensation and integrations.
Build maintain and optimize Workday integrations (including Core Connectors EIBs and Studio if applicable) to support enterprise-wide HR processes.
Configure optimize and support existing Workday modules to align with HR and business objectives.
Partner with HR Technology and Product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives.
Ensure code quality and performance through testing validation and peer review.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to Workday Extend applications and integrations.

Basic Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Workday Extend development including Compensation module configuration.
Strong understanding of Workday integrations-such as EIBs Core Connectors calculated fields and related integration frameworks.
Solid understanding of Workday business processes and security.
Proven software development experience (object-oriented programming APIs or related technologies).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Workday Studio Core Connectors or similar tools.
Background working in a large enterprise or financial services environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hybrid work setting.
