SLD Specialist Teaching Experience What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate will hold a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university and have prior child-centred experience ideally within an SLD or complex needs setting. Schools are particularly interested in candidates who hold or are willing to complete SLD-relevant training such as:

  • Manual Handling / Moving & Handling
  • Personal Care training
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Team Teach or equivalent de-escalation training
  • Safeguarding Level 1 or above
  • Makaton or alternative communication methods

  • 444 per week pro rata to term time only
  • Full-time long-term role (JanuaryJuly)
  • Term-time only
