Job Summary

- Design build and maintain backend service layers and REST APIs

- Support backend services in cloud-hosted environments

- Develop backend services using and Python

- Define and maintain API contracts versioning strategies and documentation

- Design scalable reliable backend architectures

- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases including schema design and migrations

CI/CD Deployment & Cloud Infrastructure

- Work with at least one cloud platform (AWS or GCP)

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend services

- Manage controlled deployments across multiple environments

- Configure environment-specific settings across development staging and production

- Implement release rollback and versioning strategies

- Ensure repeatable and reliable build and deployment processes

- Use cloud-native services for compute storage networking and security

Requirements

Operations & Reliability

- Monitor backend services in production environments

- Implement structured logging metrics and alerting

- Troubleshoot and resolve backend and deployment issues

- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks

Security & PHI Handling

- Handle sensitive healthcare data (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA requirements

- Implement authentication authorization and access control mechanisms

- Apply least-privilege access and data minimization principles

- Implement encryption for data at rest and in transit

- Manage secrets keys and credentials securely (rotation and access controls)

- Implement audit logging and access logging for sensitive data access
