Job Summary
GENERAL FUNCTION - The operation of a Flexographic printing press. The operator will possess a combination of knowledge skill and abilities to carry out work activities related to the operation of the flexographic printing press.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Set up adjust maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16" - 20" flexographic press
Installs Anilox rollers plates. inks and dies into proper stations making necessary adjustments to maintain quality of production
Notifies Supervision of needed repairs and replacement parts.
Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
Understands all the documents related to the printing process and adheres to specification requirements.
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum - High School Diploma or GED & gave basic computer skills.
- Best candidates would have AT LEAST 1-3 years *FLEXO PRINTING* related experience with ability to write and read simple instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.
- Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
- Should be able to perform basic math including addition subtraction multiplication and division.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance and flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be flexible in working any shift.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
- During the shift Press Operators will be bending and twisting while moving the product from workstation to pallet
- Press Operators may need to use manual or electric pallets jacks to move skids of products. This will require pushing and pulling

Required Skills:
Flexo Press Operator Requirements HS Diploma or GED required 3 yrs. min. Flexographic Printing experience preferred Previous print industry experience is required. 3 yrs. machinery repair or manufacturing experience required Possess excellent computer skills Prior experience troubleshooting printing-related challenges Knowledge/experience of plates stocks cold foils hot stamps screens inks and varnishes Ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds continuously the ability to lift to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for most of the shift. Must be able to differentiate and reduce color variance. Must be able to bend stoop squat grasp and reach frequently. Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards. Must be detail oriented and have excellent quality driven work habits. Willingness to work overtime rotating shifts and if needed holidays and weekends. Ability to work well with others.
