Summary A Colorado-based K12 public charter school is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher to deliver rigorous engaging instruction that drives student achievement and growth. The school serves a diverse student population and emphasizes high academic standards collaboration and innovation. This role is responsible for creating a structured positive learning environment while using data-driven instruction to support all learners. What Youll Do
- Deliver high-quality middle school science instruction aligned with Colorado Academic Standards.
- Use digital curriculum and instructional technology to enhance student engagement.
- Post and communicate daily lesson objectives that students can clearly articulate.
- Maintain a positive classroom culture using PBIS practices focused on respect responsibility and relationships.
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet diverse academic and social-emotional needs.
- Design and administer assessments to monitor progress and guide interventions.
- Analyze student performance data to provide targeted differentiated instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues through PLCs team meetings and professional development.
- Communicate effectively with students families and staff to support student success.
- Participate in school events intervention planning and curriculum development initiatives.
What Youll Need
- Valid Colorado Teaching License with appropriate middle school science endorsement.
- Demonstrated mastery of science content and instructional best practices.
- Experience using student data to drive instructional decisions.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to integrate educational technology into daily instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of a charter school environment.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working with second language learners.
- Background in PBIS MTSS or data-driven intervention models.
- Innovative mindset with flexibility in a fast-paced evolving school setting.
- Prior experience in a charter or Title I school environment.
