As a Lead Software Engineer - UX/React at JPMorganChase within Finance Technology youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Participates in design and develop scalable and resilient systems using ReactJS and Python to contribute to continual iterative improvements for product teams.
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting.
- Creates secure and high-quality production ready UIusing React.
- Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas.
- Diagram service flows and product features design wireframes and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain.
- Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Gain experience in application development with a focus on creating efficient and user-friendly software.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Advanced skills in designing and developing responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using React Python and CSS ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Able to design wireframes and understanding of Salt-Design System.
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux)
- Implement and maintain reusable code and libraries for future use ensuring consistency and efficiency in UI development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Experience using testing frameworks e.g Playwright
- Experience in building reusable components and implementing server-side rendering
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience and certification in AWS and/or Databricks.
- Proven experience in building and designing large-scale global software solutions.
- Experience in Data Engineering working with big data data warehouses and understanding data modelling; Data Mesh Architecture and building applications using Data Mesh Architecture.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as MWAA.
