Are you an experienced Unified Communications Engineer seeking to make a significant impact within Commonwealth government ICT infrastructure

Resolve Recruit is partnering with a prominent Commonwealth Government department to find a highly skilled Unified Communications Engineer.

Our client operates sophisticated telecommunications and collaboration systems supporting critical government operations both nationally and internationally. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge UC technologies whilst contributing to the design implementation and maintenance of enterprise-scale communication platforms. Youll be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring scalability security and efficiency across telephony collaboration platforms video conferencing and messaging systems.

As a Unified Communications Engineer you will serve as the primary technical contact for UC capabilities providing subject matter expertise on technical solutions and driving the implementation of communication systems. Youll collaborate with architecture design and cybersecurity teams to develop UC roadmaps research emerging technologies and ensure architectural alignment across projects. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to engage stakeholders whilst addressing complex infrastructure challenges and supporting system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage data quality perform data loads and create accurate reports and dashboards to meet client needs
  • Support workflow efficiency whilst ensuring compliance with government records classification and management requirements
  • Execute production environment data updates with strict adherence to data governance standards
  • Perform incident determination and resolution activities including debug log interpretation
  • Deploy changes via Azure DevOps and participate in post-deployment validation and platform release testing
  • Identifying business needs by documenting functional and technical requirements for hardware processes workflows and operating systems
  • Providing subject matter expertise and serving as the primary technical contact for the design and implementation of UC capabilities ensuring scalability security and efficiency
  • Developing UC roadmaps in collaboration with internal stakeholders including architecture design and cybersecurity teams
  • Maintaining UC systems and services including telephony collaboration platforms messaging desktop and softphones mobile devices PBX systems and voice/video conferencing environments
  • Researching emerging technologies - products services protocols and standards - to inform procurement and development efforts
  • Engaging stakeholders to address design and security challenges providing solutions to complex infrastructure and software issues whilst delivering technical support for UC system upgrades

Key Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in designing deploying and managing UC systems and solutions at an enterprise level
  • Strong stakeholder management and client services skills
  • Highly developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Security Requirements:

Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance (or higher) to be considered.
