Job Overview:
The production batcher is responsible for ensuring the preparation and mixing of appropriate ingredients required to produce finished products for our plumbing HVAC and firestop products. Duties include performing all batching processes from initial calculations to completing premix/post-mix operations based upon the number of cases and tanks scheduled for production each shift. This is an on-site hourly position that may require the employee to be in their assigned area prior to the start of the shift to stage the work area. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.

Key Responsibilities:
- Stage and prepare raw materials for efficient and safe mixing operations
- Monitor the mixture of raw materials according to written formulas
- Ensure all products are manufactured safely by following set manufacturing practices
- Partner with the QA/Lab to maintain the product specifications and ensure quality
- Maintain and track inventory accuracy using the ERP system
- Clean and disinfect mixing utensils tools buckets and general work areas
- Monitor and inspect equipment to maintain proper condition and safety
- Accurately complete required production paperwork
- Able to unload tankers and store other raw materials
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent or 6 months experience in chemical processing manufacturing or distribution environment in lieu of education
- Able to work 8 -12-hour shifts standing
- Available to work any shift and/or overtime as needed
Skills and Competencies:
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Computer knowledge to enter and track products in the ERP system
- Strong logical decision-making skills
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Able to read and comprehend instructions and labels
- Math skills to function in the role including adding subtracting multiplying and dividing in all units of measure
- Able to operate and maintain equipment in alignment with safety standards
- Able to read Material Safety Data Sheets as well as raw material and finished goods container labels
- High-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skills
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability and ability to thrive in a team environment
- Ability to understand take ownership and follow directives as planned
- Adaptable and easily adjusts to changing work conditions and responsibilities with a positive attitude
- Receptive to coaching and utilizes critical feedback to grow skills for self and others
Preferred Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes environment or equipment
- Prior experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems
- HAZWOPER 40 training certification or equivalent
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
