Job Duties

The Chair will provide strategic leadership and vision for the department foster faculty development through mentoring and support research excellence coordinate and serve on various departmental and college committees guide and promote academic programming assign and manage various departmental committees (e.g. curriculum assessment etc.) manage departmental budgeting staffing and resources with transparency and accountability foster a collaborative and inclusive departmental culture as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the university and with external partners represent the department effectively within the college and university instruct psychology courses with release time per semester based on departmental need and expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.
2. Academic credentials appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate/Full Professor
3. Demonstrated leadership experience in academic settings (e.g. program director associate chair or committee chair etc.).
4. Strong record of research teaching and service.
