Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Nursing Supervisor youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care LTC or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

- Coordinates the progression of the clinic schedule. Reviews the schedule and plans for needed resources.
- Consults in a variety of patient care situations requiring advanced competency and knowledge.
- Serves as a clinical resource for problem solving and assist staff with patient related issues and emergency situations.
- Acts as a liaison to other departments and multiple patient care services and ensures special requirements quality nursing care for the patient.
- Serves as a role model to develop staff competence in the delivery of nursing care based on national professional standards and hospital wide policy and procedures.
- Recognizes noncompliance and demonstrates correct application of hospital policy and procedures; refers to Policy and Procedure Manual as necessary for problem solving.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Other Starting January 2016 new hires must have Bachelors Degreeand minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline upon hire or
- 3 yearsexperience in the discipline upon hire or
- Masters Other no experience upon hire
- Registered Nurse: TX upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 - days
