The Service & Team

Adult Social Care in Cornwall istransformingandwerelooking for passionate professionals to help shape a best-in-class model that puts people first.

The Independent and Wellbeing Service based in West Cornwall is seeking a dedicated Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to support adults with sight part of our wider integrated therapy teamyoullwork alongside Occupational TherapistsSocialCarePractitioners and other professionals who collaborate to deliver holisticperson-centredsupport.

The Role

Your role is to make sure people with sight lossand their familiesget the right help at the right outstrengths-basedassessments offer tailored advice and teach daily living and mobility skills that enable people to stay safeconfidentand independent.

You will work with health partners primary carenetworksand community organisations as part of Cornwalls expanding community intervention helpshapenew pathways and approaches for people with visual impairment with a strong focus on early intervention and preventative support.

Working Pattern

We have one full time position (37 hours) MondayFriday 08:4517: working patterns can be discussed to support worklife balance.

WhatYoullNeed to Succeed

You must hold a qualification recognised by the Rehabilitation Workers Professional Network (RWPN) and be registered or willing to register before starting.

Werelooking for someone who:

  • Has experience in vision rehabilitation

This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
