Cyber Systems Engineer ISSO

As a Cyber Systems Engineer (ISSO) youll play a critical role in protecting mission-critical systems ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks and safeguarding sensitive and classified information. Youll work closely with engineering IT and program teams to embed security across the full system lifecycle from design through operations.

What youll do:

• Serve as the Information System Security Approval Authority (ISSA/ISSO) for assigned systems
• Support the organizations Information Assurance (IA) program with both technical and compliance expertise
• Plan coordinate and enforce IT security controls across multiple systems and projects
• Maintain and continuously improve the operational security posture of mission-critical environments
• Develop implement and enforce system security policies standards and methodologies
• Support day-to-day security operations including monitoring incident response and remediation
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses to support system Certification & Accreditation (C&A)
• Evaluate and validate security solutions for systems handling classified data
• Manage system configurations changes and associated security impact assessments
• Prepare review and maintain required security documentation including:
  • System Security Plans (SSPs)
  • Risk Assessment Reports
  • Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages
  • System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)

• 17 years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting projects of similar scope complexity and mission criticality.
• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline. In lieu of a degree an additional five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted.
• Active TS/SCI with a current polygraph required

Certifications:

• DoD 8570 IAM Level I (or higher) certification required
