We are looking for a positive self-motivated Sales Manager to join our passionate this role you will take ownership of driving revenue growth building strong client relationships and positioning The Tasman as the premier luxury destination in Tasmania. Youll thrive on achieving ambitious goals and share our passion for showcasing the beauty and culture of Hobart and Tasmania to the world.
Key Responsibilities
Build Powerful Relationships
- Develop manage and grow relationships with existing and new customers to secure future business
- Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure aligned complementary sales efforts
- Represent The Tasman at sales calls client entertainment FAM trips trade shows and industry events
- Build strong community connections to expand our customer base
- Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships
Drive Sales Performance
- Identify and convert new business opportunities to meet personal and hotel revenue goals
- Deliver timely and accurate sales forecasting to support predictable revenue streams
- Contribute to and participate in sales calls to acquire and close business
- Support the operational execution of confirmed business
- Ensure accurate capture of Marriott Bonvoy (Rewards) information within systems
Leverage Market Insight
- Analyse market conditions competitor activity and economic trends to maximise opportunities
- Understand target customer profiles service expectations and business needs
- Position The Tasman strategically to close the most valuable business opportunities
Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
- Champion The Tasmans service and relationship strategy to drive loyalty and repeat business
- Deliver service excellence at every touchpoint and proactively seek customer feedback
- Grow account share through consistent personalised and memorable service
Learning Growth & Culture
- Commit to continuous learning professional development and completion of required training
- Support the development of less experienced team members
- Build strong cross-departmental relationships to understand the full hotel operation

About You
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Sales or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a luxury environment is highly regarded
- 23 years experience in a sales-driven role with a proven record of achieving targets
- Highly motivated self-driven and commercially astute
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Strong time-management skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to analyse financial and performance data to inform decisions
- Confident working independently and as part of a high-performing team
Desirable
- Experience in luxury hospitality or a 5-star hotel environment
- Strong collaborative influencing and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in MS Office and sales systems
- Knowledge of Marriott International and The Luxury Collection
