DescriptionThe Data Analyst I is responsible for implementing best information technology data management practices in an effort to improve and ensure quality streamline data cleaning efforts and deliver analyzable databases within agreed upon project timelines.
Responsibilities- Designs and writes custom applications needed to ensure REDCap databases meet requirements for the entry management and reporting of data including the visualization of each data collection instrument coding branching logic and data quality rules. Develops accompanying case report forms that match REDCap instruments.
- Assists in the development of data management plans training materials and guidelines that will deliver accurate timelines consistent with quality data. Assures the quality control compliance process.
- Identifies and implements solutions to data management issues and concerns that arise during the conduct of research studies.
- Oversees credentialing process for external users as well as user rights and data access groups. Assists staff with technical issues related to account activation password resets and electronic and remote record keeping systems; trains staff to help improve quality of data collected.
- Cleans and reviews REDCap and core lab data and imaging. Assists coordinators medical students interns residents and/or program faculty with reports trackers queries and statistical analyses.
- Maintains knowledge of the current regulations and technologies related to data management.
- Register and maintain postings for multicenter trials
- May write and prepare manuscripts and other materials for internal and external audiences.
- Performs other related duties.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in computer science statistics and/or related field or combination of equivalent work experience and education. Masters degree in relevant field of study preferred.
- 2-3 years database application/management experience preferably in a large medical center or healthcare environment.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $59485.97 - $74250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
