About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by ensuring timely analysis and accurate assessment of the Citys capital expenditure (CAPEX) program. You will be responsible for effective reporting scheduling and planning of CAPEX works using the Citys portfolio and project management system to achieve strategic objectives.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Develop program and scheduling plans using contemporary tools including risk identification and tracking.
  • Provide recommendations for innovative solutions to improve scheduling cost and performance.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and monitor portfolio cost performance against forecasts.
  • Review budget reports and expenditures ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to verify reporting integrity and maintain project management systems.

About you

You will have a Diploma or higher in accounting project management or a related field with significant experience in budget analysis and planning. You bring strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to manage complex budgets. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential along with the ability to think conceptually and analytically in a dynamic environment.
