What you will get to do:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills lathes and Haas VF6) to produce parts to specification.
- Interpret technical drawings blueprints and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tools fixtures and materials for each job.
- Monitor machine operations adjust settings and perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers gauges).
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineers to improve processes.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records of parts and materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop protocols.
- Fabricate parts using saws grinders shears brakes and other shop tools.
- Assemble mechanical systems and automation equipment per engineering drawings and schematics.
- Operate forklifts overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely.
- Collaborate with engineers technicians and electricians to ensure proper fit and function of assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Effectively collaborate with management and team members.
- Assist in training new team members on welding techniques and shop safety.
- Team Building: Foster mutual trust respect and cooperation among all team members.
What will make you successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and G-code programming.
- Proficiency with measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety precision and continuous improvement.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
