Join our team as a Lead Quality Engineer to drive Quality risk abatement and robust control planning for a new product production line. You will lead PFMEA Control Plan development (APQP) inspection methodologies and data-driven continuous improvement to produce Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) products.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end Quality planning for a new product launch from risk identification through stable production
  • Establish the measurement and inspection strategy (metrology GD&T inspection methods) and PFMEA/Control Plans aligned to APQP
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem solving and change management to institutionalize quality systems and mitigate risk

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical Manufacturing Industrial or similar)
  • 5 years in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering with direct experience in NPI/NPD or new line launches
  • Proven leadership and communication skills; ability to influence without authority and drive cross-functional outcomes
  • Experience with aerospace or similarly regulated high-precision manufacturing environments
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated experience leading PFMEA and Control Plan development within APQP
  • Proficiency with MSA SPC capability analysis and data-driven problem solving (8D DMAIC or equivalent)
  • Expertise in metrology GD&T and inspection methods (CMM programming/analysis highly desirable)
  • Hands-on experience with PPAP FAIR and supplier quality development
