Job Summary
Full Service Commercial Real Estate Firm with an in house construction company; seeks hands on energetic entrepreneurial team member to manage development construction projects
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Project Management
- Meet with estimating and business development staff to learn about project.
- Create completion schedule.
- Create construction budget to lock in profit.
- Determine what tools equipment and materials will be required to complete the project and schedule their delivery.
- Manage self performed work.
- Manage subcontractors.
- Ability to manage several construction projects at the same time.
Estimating
- Meeting with clients and understanding their needs.
- Preparing construction estimates for clients approval.
Individual must possess or have the ability to learn the following skills:
- Strong minded and strong can-do attitude.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to negotiate contracts for the good of the company.
- Organized
- Attention to detail
- Punctual
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years project management experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or extensive experience as construction project manager or construction estimator.
- Own vehicle that can be used for business use in exchange for gas reimbursement.
- Available to travel daily to each job location we have job sites in Lansing Ypsilanti Toledo etc.
Ideal candidate has been a construction project manager for a commercial contractor.
Compensation is competitive
Total compensation package would include a base wage company phone mileage reimbursement and then health benefits and 401k after 90 days
