We are currently seeking to fill a consultancy under the Talent Acquisition & Deployment Branch of the Human Resources Division. This position will report to our Headquarters in Rome Italy. This position will also work in close coordination with the Communications Advocacy and Marketing Division (CAM).

The Talent Acquisition & Deployment Branch is a key partner in the achievement of WFPs strategic operational objectives through the effective recruitment and deployment of staff members.

Communications engagement and design are essential aspects of our teams that ensures our initiatives are effectively communicated to our highly diverse colleagues around the world and to achieve a high level of engagement. User Experience/User Interface would be an excellent skill to have as digital virtual communications and interaction with our branch is critical given the new remote working environment and the geographically dispersed workforce.

The selected candidate will be contributing to the unit focusing on stakeholder engagement through communication and design with the following key duties:

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

communications and engagement strategies for the branch including key messaging stakeholder analyses implementation timelines and engagement products.

close collaboration with the teams design front-end guidelines and toolkits for staff and other stakeholders involved in the recruitment and deployment process improving understanding engagement and user experience through clear communication and branding.

and update new and existing communications emails FAQ docs WFPGo pages presentations multimedia video tutorials (including visual storytelling) and other communications products required.

close collaboration with a team of developers contribute to the UI/UX design and development of new tools user interfaces and the visual improvement of the in-house technology platforms.

innovative and creative solutions to enhance communication initiatives managed by the teams.

abreast of WFPs corporate communications and branding guidelines while incorporating the latest design

concepts.

to additional initiatives and/or campaigns managed by the Branch.

to automation efforts of HR processes. This includes proposing new interface solutions mock-up sand workflows to improve user experience of web applications in the branch as well as supporting initiatives such as HCM as required.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

FIT Pool communications plan implementation calendar and planned communication products

Ad hoc communication products for HRMTM teams (General Service Talent Acquisition Job Evaluation Young Talent Reassignment)

Global HRMTM communication products

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education

University degree in Communication Social Sciences or technology related studies such Graphic Design or Visual Communications;

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

Experience in helping draft the structure and organise the content to develop and produce high-quality written materials including engagement strategies graphically based presentations as well as text documents

Experience in designing communication materials and providing support on technology related projects

Experience in UX and UI digital products

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills;

Highly developed contemporary design skills demonstrated in your portfolio of recent work;

Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud products: Photoshop Illustrator InDesign etc;

Proficiency with Figma / FigJam platform

Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

Strong conceptual thinking to develop new communication strategies and coordinate projects.

Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy.

Strong time management skills with an ability to plan ahead anticipate requirements problems and obstacles and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully and to work to tight deadlines.

Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy while willing to receive constructive feedback

Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the UN World Food Programme.

Languages:

English Level C and preferable knowledge of another UN language
