Adjunct Faculty Business Administration & Accounting

The American International University (AIU) invites applications for a PartTime/Adjunct Faculty position to teach courses on the Business Administration degree program.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in:

Financial Accounting
Managerial Accounting
Auditing
Accounting Systems
Advanced Accounting
Other business courses as assigned

Reasonably extensive teaching at degree level research and project/dissertation supervision experience would be expected in the candidates core areas of expertise. Candidates will also be required to demonstrate an active interest in scholarly activity. In addition a track record of program administration and academic course leadership would be advantageous.

Candidates should possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures and be able to work within a small program specialized in personal attention. Also we expect active participation with the development of undergraduate programs curriculum development and mentoring. We welcome candidates who will diversify our curriculum and our faculty in regard to race gender and ethnicity.

Qualifications:

Masters or Ph.D. degree in Accounting Business Administration (MBA) or a closely related field required.
Effective communication skills in English.
University teaching experience.
Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
