This Outstanding school in the heart of Cambridge is seeking a meticulous Science Technician with a specialism in Biology. You will provide essential technical support to the life sciences faculty ensuring that practical lessons from Key Stage 3 to A-Level are delivered with precision and safety.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Biological Preparation: Preparing cultures reagents and specialized apparatus for advanced A-Level Biology practicals and GCSE required practicals.
Safety & Compliance: Maintaining chemical and biological inventories in strict accordance with CLEAPSS guidelines and performing regular equipment safety checks.
Lab Management: Coordinating the cleaning repair and storage of laboratory equipment and managing departmental stock orders.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Prior experience in a school laboratory or a strong scientific background. Specialist knowledge of biological protocols is highly desirable.
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (expected to be 25000 - 31000 per annum).
